Invisible and regular zippers with lining

A Smart Sewing Technique for an Imperceptible Zipper – Special Release

  • invisible zipper – both the zipper and the lining are sewn to the seam allowance
  • regular zipper is sewn and then topstiched , then the lining is either

a) attached by hand or

b) sewn to the seam allowance.

Since the lining has to be away from the zipper tape, it’s ok that it will be sewn far. The first beige wool skirt was done like that and it worked fine. The brown wool skirt zipper was topstiched after the lining was sewn in and the lining was caught in the topstitching and messes up the zipper

  • zipper pull should be 1.5cm or exact seam allowance from the top
